Establishment and Mandate

Inaugurated in 2013 as part of Western Delta University's academic mandate, the Institute of Delta Development Studies focuses on interrogating the socio-economic consequences of oil production in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. Beyond this, the institute addresses broader challenges associated with sustainable development.
